Die Gruppe Bakchus ist in Brünn im Jahre 2006 enstanden.
Wir befassen uns mit der Interpretation der Musik aus dem Mittelalter und der Renaissance. In unseren Darbietungen können Sie lateinische, deutsche, französische, spanische, englishe italienische, aber auch tschechische Lieder hören.
Zum größten Teil singen wir in den Originalsprachen. Bei unseren Auftritten benützen wir vorwiegend die Repliken mittelalterlicher Instrumente und die Atmosphäre unserer Auftritte wird durch zeitgemäße Kostüme verstärkt.
Unsere Musik ist geeignet zur Intensivierung der Atmosphäre von Stadt- oder Burgfesten, Festivalen, Jahrmärkten, Firmenfestlichkeiten und mittelalterlicher Kneipen. Bei unseren Auftritten im Freien wäre es von Nutzen eine Tonverstärkung zu benützen.

Since 2005 is a present Student at the Academy of Early Music (FF MU Brno, Czech Republic) with Miloslav Student (Lute). He was on a fellowship at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon with Eugene Ferre (France). He participated on several masterclasses under the leadership of such masters as Brian Wright (UK), Dolores Costoyas (Argentina), Ariel Abramovich (Spain), Paul Beier (Italy).

He began his musical career by attending an elementary course of classical guitar at a local music school, continued with taking private lessons of the electtric guitar and classical vocal training. Since 2004 he has devoted his musical efforts to playing medieval and renaissance music (Lute, Bag-pipes, Shawn, Citern, ...).
Since 1996 he has founded and performed in several bands of diverse genres. Kovlad (rock), Jerry Band (funk/rock), Rammstein Revival Brno (rock), Ghotic (medieval music), Weytora (early music), Ensemble Sarabanda (early music). He has also participated on many recordings as a choir singer and worked as background vocalist with the rock group Manowar.
Richard Zavada performs frequently both as a continuo player and as a solo lute player, touring around Czech Republic and Europe (France, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Austria, Slovakia, Denmark).

He came in touch with art at an elementary school of music. At 1996 he begun his studies of singing at Prague Conservatorium (Praha, Czech Republic). Since 2005 he has been studying at Academy of Early music in Praha (Czech Republic).

In 1994 he co-founded a music ensemble called Krless, where he played the strings and wind instruments. He appears himself on CDs: Hudci pisni nejstarsich, Hoyetoe. After leaving Krless he became well known in the field of elderly music as a soloist and member of several ensembles (Jagabab, Musica Vagantium, Kurzweyl, Tippel Klimper, Cornalen, Holba, Peregrin). In 2009 he joined the music ensemble Bakchus.
Radek founded an ensemble for renaissance music and gregorian chant called Polyphonion. He works with the ensemble Affetto, as a guest . Mostly he performs music by Bach, Handel, Zelenka, Schmelzer, Dvorak, Smetana, Mozart as a soloist.
Radek Seidl appeared himself in a number of opera performances, movies and studio recordings: Orfeo, Jesus Christ Superstar, Carmen, Krasna Mlynarka, Seda mysi opera, Nevesta s velkyma kozama, Pokuseni. Joan of Arc, The Sword In The Stone, Snailsbury Tales, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Queen Margot.
Since 2003 Radek Seidl has been working as a vocal advisor and conductor assistant with mixed and children’s choirs (Praeputim, DPS Chorus Angelus, Achrbishop Gymnasium, Children’s choir of Elementary School Na Planine).
Radek Seidl works as a vocal coach and teacher at International Conservatorium of Music in Prague and also gives private singing lessons.

Václav Vopravil

He established himself in musical field as a root member (Citern, Percussion) and manager of the medieval music ensemble Dubia Fortuna. In the present he annually performs over 150 concerts annually throughout Europe (Medieval festival Horsens Denmark, Ritterturnier kaltenberg Germany, Elf Fair Festival Holland, Folkswood Holland, Prague Christmas Fair, Briones Spain). With Dubia Fortuna he also recorded two CDs: Esta Mesa, In Taberna Mundus. Since 2009 he has been a regular member of the musical Ensembles Bakchus and Gumelin.

He took part in a number of projects and workshops some of which were: Wir zogen ins Feld, Masopustni selmovsky kousek – Comedia dell Arte, Hra o zrozeni, Celtic and Slavic culture days Warsaw (Poland).
Vaclav Vopravil is also frequently sought as an actor, entertainer and active speaker for public events.

Vladimír Tøebický

His musical education started from his early childhood by taking violin lessons and proceeded on at the Conservatorium of Fine Arts Ostrava (Czech Republic) where he graduated as a classical percussionist. After finishing his studies at Janacek Academy of Music, Brno, Czech Republic (classical percussion) and two years long study-stay at ArtEZ Conservatorium Enschede (the Netherlands) with Nippy Noya (jazz-percussion) and Adrienne West (jazz vocal), he joined the music ensemble Bakchus.

Vladimir Trebicky is also active musician in the field of jazz, pop and contemporary artificial music. He performs with several bands and Philharmonic orchestras as both, drummer and percussionist. He toured around Europe with a number of brass bands, pop groups, orchestras and ensembles (Poland, Slovakia, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, France, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium) as a musician and an educator.
Vladimir Trebicky is used to teach percussion in a number of music schools, the same as at Janacek Academy of Music Brno, Czech Republic.
